I got a voicemail saying "hey mum, this is my new number." Seems like a total scam to me. Just ignore it and delete, don’t reply!

SCAM ALERT. When I confronted them, they just laughed it off, bragging that they’re doing really well financially and aren’t affected at all by the cost of living crisis. They even mentioned splashing out on a brand new BMW M3, all because no one really tries to stop them. 🤬 The Police have suggested I spread the word on social media and encourage everyone to share posts like this one. Apparently, if more people knew about these scams, fewer folks would fall victim. They’ve reportedly ripped off hundreds of thousands of pounds just in the last month, according to the Police.

Someone rang up claiming to be from my family but with a different number. They tried to persuade us to send close to £1,000 and sounded really believable.
