I got a call where some recording pretended to be HMRC, saying I owed them money, then told me to press 1. On the 4th time I let it ring and actually pressed 1, it put me through to someone with an Indian accent, and you could hear loads of other voices in the background like a call centre. This person kept insisting I had debts with HMRC and threatened court action, offering to sort the debt if I gave my bank card info and paid just 20% of what I owe. Total rubbish scam, felt proper silly trying that.
