I got a text claiming I’d tested positive for COVID. Thinking it was legit, I clicked on a dodgy NHS link and ended up handing over my personal info to get a free test. However, they demanded my card details for a petty 99p postage. I made the silly mistake of providing that info. Not long after, my bank contacted me to warn that someone was attempting to make an unauthorised charge, which I, of course, nipped in the bud. To make matters worse, that link seems to have installed malware on my phone that's now wreaking havoc on my apps. I’m now in a right pickle, having to wipe my phone clean and change my bank card and all my passwords. What a nightmare!

I received a rather dodgy text from this number regarding a supposed Covid exposure, claiming I had been near someone who had tested positive. They urged me to click on a link to request a PCR test kit. Can you believe the audacity?
