Just 15 minutes ago I got a call with the same old nonsense threats. I told the caller, who sounded like some Indian tech guy, that I’m a retired computer engineer (which I really am) and he promptly hung up. I’ve now added his number to my BT block list. Bet he’ll ring back soon from some other number though.

I kept them chatting for a good 40 minutes until my bath started getting cold, then I finally ended the call.

Had a bloke ring me up, claimed he needed to ask some questions for marketing reasons. I said no thanks. Not sure if it’s against the law, but felt like he was gathering numbers to pass on to proper companies as potential customers. I once slipped up and told one of these lot during a “lifestyle questionnaire” that I’m without a washing machine, and weeks later, I was bombarded with calls from salespeople pushing washing machines on me!

I’ve encountered those Indian con artists who pose as representatives from Microsoft or BT, attempting to infiltrate your computer system. It’s all a fraudulent scheme, folks!

Got a call from 07840897092 around 9:30 on 15/2/18, someone claiming to be from w before - total scam stuff. I just ended the call straight away. These kind of calls keep popping up lately.

Someone claiming to be from Windows Support called me saying they had to install an important update on my computer, or it would get blocked. I quickly told them I don’t even own a PC, and as soon as I mentioned that, they just ended the call right away. Pretty clear it was a scam.

I got a call about my computer, but I never really spoke to the bloke. He just suddenly hung up on me out of nowhere, which felt really sketchy. I reckon he was after my bank info or something. I've had calls like this before and they're definitely scams.

At around 2.15pm GMT, I got a call from 07840897092 on my mobile. At first, it was completely silent, then suddenly someone answered with a simple ‘hello’. I told them it was an emergency helpline number and offered help, but they just hung up straight away. Classic spam call behaviour, in my opinion.
