Requesting my card information for a supposedly complimentary test kit? No chance! There’s definitely something off about this, especially since every other communication I've had from the NHS allows you to review the terms and conditions on their website. It all seems a bit dodgy if you ask me!

Dodgy business, this! I received a message claiming that outdated testing kits won't spot the omicron variant, insisting that I must order a complimentary PCR kit to test myself at home. Then, lo and behold, they wanted my card details to cover the postage for the kit! It really looks like an official NHS site, but it’s quite clearly a scam!

There’s been a couple of posts about what you need to do to try and put an end to these dodgy foreign scammers stealing money from folk who can’t really afford it and pestering everyone else. It’s a bit of a faff but I’ve been reporting scam texts and calls to the police database regularly - got the link saved in my bookmarks. The problem is, it needs loads of people to keep reporting before anything proper happens, but every day thousands do report scams here. Don’t expect a quick fix if you report them, but if nobody bothers, these crooks will just keep on ripping people off.
