I had a run-in with some scammers the other day and honestly, they were so smug about it. When I questioned them about targeting older and vulnerable folks, they just laughed and talked down to me. One bloke actually said, “while you working class lot are having your simple meals, we’ll be chilling in Miami, cocktails in hand and feasting on Lobster Thermidor pretty soon.” They boasted about raking in millions during this cost of living crisis, saying they’re living the good life while everyone else struggles to get by. It really pissed me off.
