I received a rather dubious text from the number 07840 188721 earlier today on the 3rd of November at around 1:07 PM. The message claimed to be from Royal Mail, suggesting that an item couldn't be delivered due to it not being fully addressed. Thankfully, my phone's security feature, Knox, flagged it as spam right away, and I've gone ahead and reported the incident. The link included in the message redirects to a counterfeit Royal Mail site, where only the fields for name, address, and phone number function properly. Upon completion, the site then prompts for credit card information, stating a fee of £1.02 is required if the item remains undeliverable upon a second attempt. This is undoubtedly a scam and nothing more than a ruse. I've taken the precaution of reporting it as spam to my mobile service provider.
