I got a text from this number claiming to be from Santander, saying someone tried to take £445 from my current account for an AIRBNB booking. They included a phone number to call if it wasn’t me. Pretty sneaky, right? The number they gave was 0330 1759640. I looked it up and couldn’t find anything saying it was a real Santander contact. I even checked Santander’s official fraud and banking pages, but it wasn’t listed. So, I rang Santander directly and they confirmed it was a scam attempt and advised me not to reply to the message at all.
