Just got a call from some bloke saying it was about my taxes. Seemed a bit dodgy to me, probably another scam trying to get my details. Didn’t sound like any official government number either. Anyone else had calls like this? Be careful, people.

got a text on my phone sayin "hsbc: there's a payee request for mrs k adams on your account via hsbc mobile banking. if this wasnt you, click here." i do have an account with hsbc but ive never used their mobile app so thought it sounded fishy. definitely reckon its a scam.

this morning, a lady called k adams rang me and i instantly thought it was a scam, pretty much for the same reasons others have mentioned here. cheers to everyone sharing their experiences. i must say, it’s the first scam call i’ve had in weeks, so maybe the scammers have just been keeping quiet rather than actually getting caught. a.

Got a message saying something about a payee request from HSBC, but it was a scam.

I got a text saying it woz from HSBC asking me to confirm a payment via my mobile banking. Problem is, I don’t have any HSBC accounts or app at all, so I reckon it’s a scam. Definitely dodgy if yer not expecting it.

got a message from this number saying it was hsbc asking if i made a payment through my banking app and telling me to follow a link if i didn’t. i didn’t trust it and called the bank myself. they told me it was a scam so be careful!
