This definitely feels a bit fishy to me.

I received a call from a lady who claimed to be from Orange, asking whether we'd taken advantage of a complimentary upgrade within the past fifteen months. Once we pointed out that our phone was merely fifteen weeks old and hardly qualifies as ‘new,’ she abruptly hung up, essentially calling us foolish! Now we're left fretting over the conversation. Are we really that daft? And how could she be so quick to judge?

I received a call from some individuals claiming to be from a telephone provider, stating that my contract was due for an upgrade and that I was eligible for a 10% discount. They asked quite a few questions but when I inquired about their identity and the legitimacy of their information, they went a bit quiet. I asked them to clarify who they were and why I hadn’t heard about this before, to which they said they’d call back. Frankly, I'm not holding my breath! Feels very much like a scam to me.

When the caller enquired if they were speaking to John, we quickly responded in the negative. Instantly, they hung up! We used to be with Orange but have since moved our mobile number to a different provider.
