Concerned, I contacted O2 directly, and they confirmed that this was likely a scammer trying to extract money from us. Quite shady, if you ask me!

I received a call the other day from some bloke who was keen on pitching us a free upgrade. As soon as we mentioned that we were inclined to hold off until the new iPhone drops, the conversation took a turn. She started insisting that 'they' had delayed everything for a whole year because of the new OS 3! I tried to explain that she wasn't really in a position to make such claims, but she went off on a lengthy tirade before abruptly ending the call! Honestly, what a farce!
