I've had two unexpected calls today from this number on my mobile, which is registered with the Telephone Preference Service. I missed the first call and when I attempted to ring back, I got a recording stating 'number incorrect or unrecognised'. Shortly after, I received a call from a man with a South Asian accent who claimed to represent Carphone Warehouse. Having spent years in India, I’m quite familiar with the accents. The truth is, I've never had any dealings with Carphone Warehouse whatsoever. I mentioned that my number is registered with the TPR and should be removed from their calling list, at which point he abruptly hung up. It's evident this is a phishing attempt, masquerading as a legitimate call from a Vodaphone UK number. Just a heads up for everyone!
