Some bloke with a funny accent rang up saying I'd been charged too much by this company called domestic repairs. He claimed he was going to give me a refund. When I asked if they could send me a cheque, he said that wasn’t possible. Instead, he told me the money would be transferred straight into my bank account. He said he already had my bank details but needed me to confirm my date of birth for security reasons. I kept declining to give it and eventually, he gave up and hung up.
