They said they installed insulation in our loft and needed to send a replacement certificate, but first, they wanted to do a moisture inspection. They asked to arrange a day for it but I refused, so they just ended the call. I told them we actually did the insulation ourselves, but they insisted they had the certificate right there. These lot are really dodgy, especially for folks who live by themselves.

So, I got a call from someone saying they were from the health and safety team about some loft insulation supposedly done at my place. I told them we never had any work done and then the bloke just ended the call straight away.

Got a call saying they needed to inspect my roof insulation for warranty purposes, promised a free visit to check for any damp issues. They claimed the insulation was put in about 20 years ago by the last owner and even mentioned a phone number that’s definitely not mine. Sounds like a total rip-off to me.

Beware of the loft insulation scam where they say they need to inspect your insulation for mould and damp for health and safety reasons. They'll pretend to find issues that aren't really there and try to push you into buying extra insulation or ventilation stuff.
