When I pressed about the bank, he named two totally unrelated ones. I told him to hold on while I checked, but when I came back, the line was dead. The person said I could either pick up a new visa debit card from the bank myself, or it would be sent to me by Royal Mail by 1pm the next day. They mentioned three different banks, none of which seemed linked. I found it odd because new cards aren't usually handled like this. He claimed hundreds of cards were being replaced because they expired in 2029. Feeling wary, I asked how to verify if a bank would really ring like this, and he said I should give him the first digit of my visa card, then asked me to find mine.
