Got a note stuck on my car saying to call Martin, so I dialled 07833743370 from a number I didn't recognise. The bloke switched his accent a couple of times and refused to tell me his name. Very strange.

Someone left a leaflet with the number 07833743370 stuck to my car under some plastic wrap. I rang the number and got speaking to a traveller who started asking me about the car, including the price. When I told him, he said it wasn’t what he was after. Felt like such a waste of time. Seems like they’re hoping to buy cars cheap and then sell them on, taking the owners for a ride. Definitely steer clear of these con artists. Don’t bother calling them! Consider yourself warned.

I found a little note stuck on my car window in the SE28 part of London. It said if anyone was interested in selling a car to ring Darren at 7833743370, any time is fine. There were just a few cars with these notes, all parked up safe and sound in a secure car park. Quite an unusual way to try and buy a vehicle, I thought!

Last week I found a flyer tucked under my windscreen wiper asking if my car was up for sale. I gave them a ring yesterday out of curiosity since I’d never come across anything like it before. To cut a long story short, I ended up selling the car to them today. Just got an email from the DVLA with the invoice and all. From what I can tell, I’d definitely deal with these guys again.

On the night of 22/09/23, in Bristol BS5, loads of flyers were stuck onto car windscreens. Loads of us around here have informed the police, and everyone’s keeping an eye out. These leaflets looked like they were made in bulk. We’ve all been told to watch out for tow trucks and flatbeds and to ring the police and snap pics if we spot any nearby. Just a heads up, these flyers have nothing to do with the garage local to us. If anyone says they’re from Gibbs, ring the garage straight away and alert the cops.

I encountered a similar situation as previously described regarding this number. I discovered a card tucked under the windscreen wiper, it read something along the lines of: "If you're interested in selling this car, do give Chris a ring at 07833 743370." From the looks of it, there seems to be a whole stack of these cards out there, designed with large, eye-catching text to ensure it's not easily missed.

In Swindon town centre, there’s a car that’s been sitting in a pay and display bay for about half an hour. If anyone’s looking to sell it, you might want to get in touch with Martin on 07833 743 370. Seems like they were just making their usual stops around here.

Replying to the 24/05/2023 post, Chris and Steve popped over to buy my car. They're just a couple of blokes running a small outfit, and we had a good chuckle reading all these comments 😂. Could someone please clear up any doubts by sharing the name of their company and where exactly they're located? Also, which part of England was my car taken from, and a few details about the vehicle would be great. Cheers, Jay.

I found a note stuck under my car's wiper blade which read:

"Should you wish to sell this motor, feel free to ring Martin at 07833 743 370. Cheers!"

Perusing through prior remarks, it seems that there were mentions of individuals named Darren, Chris, and Steven, but now we have Martin on the scene.

This occurrence happened in the E1 area of East London, specifically around Aldgate East, Whitechapel, and Brick Lane in Tower Hamlets.

Local law enforcement has been made aware, as have fellow residents, and we’ve taken to social media to spread the word. The Neighbourhood Association is also in the loop.

Left on my car windscreen a note on 14th January 2023 saying “If you are interested in selling this car, ring DARREN on 07833 743 370 anytime.” I honestly have no plans to sell or contact them. The car’s been sitting in the allocated parking spot for five years now. I hardly drive it thanks to my job schedule, but it’s definitely not abandoned! Really didn’t expect anyone to be messing with it. Bromley area.

I found a card stuck to my windscreen saying to call Darren if you're looking to sell your car. I don't reckon it's legit though - did a quick search on the number and turns out these kinds of flyers pop up all over the UK with different names. Definitely set off my warning bells!

So while I was away on holiday, someone left a note on my car. The CCTV caught a car pulling up right outside my place, dropping the note, then driving off. They didn’t visit any other houses, and none of my neighbours got anything. The police reckon it might be info leaked from a nearby MOT centre or maybe it's a sneaky way to check if people are still away when they get back.

Hey everyone, just wanted to share that I sold my car to Darren earlier today. He was really professional throughout the whole process. We sorted all the paperwork through the DVLA online, which was super quick. Even got a certificate of destruction since the car was going to be scrapped. Despite what some might say, I had a really good experience and would say these guys are the real deal.

Someone left a note on my camper van which has been parked outside my house for about two years now. It’s obvious I haven’t been using it, but that’s mainly because of the whole Covid situation. The note looked like it was printed out and part of a mass batch, which makes me wary about getting in touch with whoever wrote it. I live in a tiny village called Chilton Polden in Somerset, in a quiet cul-de-sac, so it’s kinda strange that they even knew my van was there. Proper odd, really.

I received a flyer about selling my car, which I wasn’t planning to do at all. But with the new ULEZ rules, I thought I’d ring them up. The next day, they came round, gave me a decent offer, and took the car away. The blokes were really nice too 🙂 Hopefully this is useful for someone!

This morning I found a note stuck to my car windscreen saying something like, “If you wanna sell your car ring STEVEN on 07833 743 370...” Loads of other cars had the same thing as well. Then later I noticed my car had been broken into during the night and stuff was nicked. Weird thing is there was no sign of forced entry, so I’m thinking maybe some kind of key hacking is happening. Could the leaflets be some sort of distraction for this? Happened in Kidbrooke, SE3.
