Just got another dodgy text saying HSBC fraud alert: you supposedly made a payment of £240.00 to Mr C Jones. (Classic generic name, right? You could swap out the name for a load of others and get loads of these messages). If you didn’t make this payment, they tell you to cancel by clicking a link like [#]onlinebanking-securekey-advance[###]. But seriously, if you’re worried about a payment like that, wouldn’t you just log straight into your own banking app or website to sort it? Be careful out there!
