Someone’s trying to trick people by putting up a fake house listing on Gumtree. It’s not even real!

I was trying to rent a place I saw on Gumtree but the map link was useless, it showed a completely different property. When I checked out the address they mentioned, the house wasn’t even real. Proper frustrating!

So, some bloke called Tony was putting Basset Hound pups up for sale in Tavistock. Being cautious, we never buy pets without actually seeing them first. I drove for almost 5 hours each way, only to realise the address and name he gave me were bogus. Thankfully, we didn't hand over any deposit. This guy and the phone number 07833 556043 are definitely dodgy and should be reported - that number is still ringing! Watch out for this scam.

Beware of this guy! He said he was called Derek and that he sold border terrier puppies from East Grinstead, Sussex, but I reckon that address was made up. I paid a deposit and then he just vanished, no replies at all. The invoice he sent looked totally bogus too. Definitely a scam, stay clear!

BEWARE OF A SCAM! They are advertising Dachshund pups using the email: [email protected] under the names Timothy and Sarah Davici. Their payment slips are all phony! Plus, they’re not really based in Bath like they say. If you hand over a deposit, you won’t get your dog, I promise. Stay clear of these crooks!

I was meant to collect a puppy and we were chatting about the details, but then they just stopped replying on the day I was supposed to pick it up. Really disappointed, no idea what happened.
