I got a call from this number telling me there were two suspicious charges on my Lloyds card - one for £199.99 to Amzon and another for £899 to Western Union. They then gave me another number - 0203 838 0719 - claiming it was Lloyds fraud department and said I should ring them. When I looked up the official Lloyds fraud helpline, that number wasn’t listed, and Lloyds confirmed it wasn’t theirs. Somehow they managed to get my full name and birthday from me. Lloyds warned me that if I had rang the second number, the scammers would have caused real harm.
