I got a call from someone saying it was VISA, telling me to hit option 1 due to some fraud on my card. It was a woman’s voice on a recording... sounded dodgy to me.

So the phone rang once more and a young woman picked up. She absolutely denied ever having phoned me. The moment I brought up that her number was flagged as a scam on Google, she just ended the call. Bit funny, really.

Got a call, but when I picked up, there was complete silence. Tried ringing back from another number later, but no one picked up. Pretty sure it was some sort of scam.

Got a message claiming to be from HMRC about a tax refund. Didn't bother opening it, just punched the number into this site instead.

Looks like I got hit by one of those bogus government tax refund scams. Someone called pretending to be from tax office, trying to get my details for a “refund”. Absolutely dodgy, don’t fall for it!
