Got a ring earlier while I was at the recycling tip and it totally spooked me. The caller claimed there was a court order from HMRC because I hadn’t paid my taxes and said I was being arrested. Pure scam. The number that rang me was 07453 889226, but I also spotted a voicemail from 07832 866559. Both are listed here as dodgy calls. Don’t bother calling back, it’s just a con. I don’t get how these things keep going around, it’s bonkers. Big thanks to WHO-CALLED[###][###] for the info.

Today I got a call from some robotic voice saying my internet was gonna get cut off if I didn’t call 03284175759 immediately. I didn’t bother ringing back and decided to look up the number instead - turns out it’s a scam. Seriously, don’t call that number, just hang up and ignore it.

Got a call from this number two times today, each one an automated message warning me about supposed court action and telling me to call back because of an investigation into tax fraud. Definitely going to notify HMRC about it.

Got a call from this exact number, sounded like one of those computer-generated warnings about HMRC. It was something like 'urgent action required... ring this number to avoid issues'. Yeah, no thanks, I’m not falling for that!

I got a message on my phone about some bogus tax claim, sounded like it was from a court or something, all recorded. Definitely a scam!

I got a call from this number saying I had a court order out for tax evasion. I won’t lie, it did scare me for a bit! But then I remembered reading about similar scams that other folks had mentioned, maybe even here on this website. It’s honestly so useful to have a place like this to check stuff out. These kinds of calls need to be stopped, they’re just messing with people’s heads!

I wouldn’t trust these lot at all. They freaked me out saying if I didn’t pay them immediately, they'd send someone over to cuff me and grab all my stuff. Total rubbish!

Got a call on my mobile earlier from some recorded message about income tax evasion. They wanted me to ring back, but I knew it was a scam straight away. Blocked the number now.

Got a missed call from 07832866559, so I rang back but it just went straight to voicemail right from the start, sounded like some tax office message. Tried calling again and when someone finally picked up, they asked for my name and info. Before giving anything though, I asked which company they were from and the person got annoyed and just ended the call. Pretty sure it’s a scam because official tax folks never skip the usual voicemail instructions. I’ve dealt with some seriously slick scammers before, but this one feels even dodgier. Definitely not from any real tax department.

Got a call on my phone from 07832866559, claiming to be from income tax. Doesn't seem right for them to be ringing from a 3 network mobile, telling me I’ve committed tax evasion. Pretty sure it’s a scam to get me to ring back and give out bank info. I’ve blocked the number now.

Got a call on my phone from this number, two blokes on the line. One said his name was Jon Thompson, though sounded like he was of Asian background, the other claimed to be a supervisor but never said his name. They told me I supposedly owed nearly £4,300 in unpaid tax from 2014 to 2019. I found that weird since I’d already retired well before those years. They’d got my full name, home address and mobile, yet I never shared any of that with them. They kept banging on about court and going to jail. I’ve reported them to HMRC - you should too if you get calls like this!

Got a call from someone claiming to be the HMRC fraud unit. They had a recorded message about me being looked into for not paying my taxes. Since I work for myself, it freaked me out for half a minute, but then it hit me - total scam.
