Some bloke rang me this morning, clearly having sussed out I’m expecting a Virgin Media engineer. He told me the appointment was called off and then tried to con me into letting him get remote access to my computer. Proper dodgy, that one.

Heads up, I got a call today from someone saying he was with Virgin Media. He wanted me to enter some stuff on my computer to "give him access" and said Virgin owed me £200, asking for bank or PayPal details to send the cash. Seemed sketchy from the start. I rang Virgin myself and they told me straight up it was nearly certainly a scam. They said if I was owed anything, they'd just add the credit to my account - never ask for personal details like that. So yeah, just hang up and don't share any info.
