I got a call from someone claiming to be HMRC, saying I owed back taxes and was under investigation. But HMRC only ever ring from an 0300 number, so I knew it was dodgy. It sounded really legit and was quite worrying. I ended up getting in touch with HMRC themselves, and they confirmed it’s a known scam.
