Totally a con... If HMRC wanted to get in touch about a tax refund or anything like that, there's no way they'd send a text, let alone include a dodgy link for you to click on! I'm pretty sure I don’t have any tax refund coming, and my sister doesn’t pay tax at all - and she got the exact same message! These scammers are just trying to catch folk who might think they’re due some tax back. Don’t be fooled by it!

Got a text supposedly from 'HMRC' about some tax refund thing! Yeah right, I can't see them texting me like that. I tried ringing the number back, and it just went to voicemail, but the message there had nothing to do with HMRC or tax. So, I left a weird message just to mess with whoever it was!
