Been getting nonstop robo calls since yesterday telling me to press 1 or they’ll shut off my internet. Had about 6 of them, some even early in the morning. Makes concentrating on working from home really tough and bloody annoying.

Got a call saying there’d been some sort of breach with my national insurance number. I kept asking which department was ringing me, but they seemed unsure themselves. They wanted me to give them my full name to ‘verify’ and continue the chat. I asked once more who exactly was calling, like their company name or something, and then they just hung up. They spoke English alright, but it sounded like it wasn’t their first language, maybe with an accent from somewhere in the Indian subcontinent.

Got a call from 07730366704 on 18th May 2021 around 11:35 in the morning. The message said my national insurance number had been compromised and told me to press 1 if I wanted to talk to someone. The voice sounded like an automated woman and kept freezing up a lot. Definitely some sort of spam.

The person ringing me just didn’t seem right, felt like they had dodgy intentions.

someone rang me up and only asked my name, didnt say who they were, then just cut off the call.
