I got caught up in this clever con where they pretended to be ‘T. Rowe Price’ and tried to rope me into a ‘part-time’ job that was totally fake. Definitely a smart scam.

Got a message on iMessage from [email protected] asking if I wanted a part-time job. It said the pay was between £200 and £500 daily with no fees to apply. Said it’s really easy and you could work whenever and wherever just using your mobile, but you have to be over 18. They told me to get in touch through WhatsApp at +447830537968 if interested.

I got a random text from this number offering a part-time job with pay between £200 and £500 a day. Didn’t ask for anything like that and it seemed dodgy, so I’ve blocked the number and told the Citizens Advice Consumer Helpline about it. I reckon it’s best to block it straight away and report it too.
