Phone number ☎️ 07830375843 👆 is reported as a number primarily used by UK banks, such as NatWest and RBS, to alert customers about potential fraudulent activity on their cards. Many users confirm messages from this number are genuine fraud prevention steps, particularly when cards are used abroad or in new locations. However, some caution is advised, as scammers may imitate such texts, including requests for personal identification, which legitimate banks rarely do via message. Users are recommended to verify any suspicious communication independently using contact details from their official bank statements, not those provided in texts. While the number itself is authentic, vigilance remains essential to avoid falling victim to potential scams.

2 monthsI got a text claiming there was an issue with my credit card. Totally threw me off at first, but I quickly realised it was probably a scam. Really makes you cautious, especially when they use all that official-sounding language. Be careful out there!11 monthsGot a message from my bank's fraud team asking about a payment I supposedly made. Before that, I had a text from a number I knew from before, telling me which number they'd use to get in touch. Just to be on the safe side, I rang the customer service number on the back of my card. Turns out, someone’s managed to snag my card info, so I’ve had to cancel it and wait for a new one. The number was legit, but definitely stay alert!2 yearsI got a text from the number, said it was my bank, which I think is the one they always contact me from. I’d just used my card somewhere I never had before, so it made sense that they’d want to check it was me. Guess their security checks are actually doing the job!2 yearsSounds like someone tried to use my card info to buy something, but the name they gave was MIKEWOODRUF. Definitely looks like a scam attempt to me.MIKEWOODRUF2 yearsAh, sorry about my previous reply! It was actually legit - my card got declined because I was trying to use it while abroad. Nothing dodgy or scammy, just the bank being cautious.2 yearsGot a text from an unknown number about a payment of £70.85 supposedly from Valarie Moschetti, dated 30th May 2024 at 04:53. It said the transaction was declined and asked me to reply Y if I’d made it, or N if not. But there was no mention of my bank at all, so I just ignored it thinking it’s probably a scam.Valarie Moschetti3 years8 Oct 2023: I’m really over these annoying calls and texts coming through. The phone rang from this number again around 11pm yesterday.4 yearsGot a call claiming to be from RBS about some fraud and that my card had been blocked. Then got an email telling me to send a pic of my ID to prove who I am. I’ve never had to send RBS a photo like that before!
