When I answered, there was some automated voice claiming I’d messed up my taxes and my passport or National Insurance number might be at risk. It told me to press 1 to speak with someone from HMRC. I didn’t press anything and the call just dropped on its own. I tried ringing back but got a generic voicemail saying they can’t take the call right now and to leave a message. It’s definitely dodgy - I hardly earn enough to even file with HMRC, and why would a genuine official call me from a mobile number anyway?! Seems like a scam to me.
