I didn't pick up because the number looked suspicious and I wasn't sure who it was. I had a feeling it might be some sort of scam. After seeing all the other comments, I'm definitely gonna block it now.

Somebody called me saying they were doing a covid survey. They asked if I'd had one or two jabs, my age group, and then mentioned they could see my address plus that I have life insurance. Then they just cut the call! Sounds like a scam to me!

Someone rang me pretending to be from ‘Energy Genie’ saying they could help cut down my gas and electric bills if I gave them some info. I wasn’t interested and said no, but they kept pushing for a bit before finally hanging up after I had to say no a few times.

Got a call from someone saying they were from a company partnered with Aviva checking up on my life insurance. I said straight away, “Nice try, I don’t have any.” They ended the call right after.

He mentioned something to do with energy and then asked if I was up to date with my bills. I told him to remove my number from their list and not to call again. He was quite courteous and wished me a "have a nice day" before ending the call.

Got a call about confirming some Covid treatment stuff, didn’t stick around, just ended the call and blocked the number right away.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with Aviva, said it was just to check my policy, not trying to sell anything. Asked for my age and to confirm my postcode, but the postcode they mentioned was out of date. Told them I just signed up for life insurance a couple of weeks ago, so I wasn’t convinced it was legit. I said goodbye and they ended the call.

He kept pushing me with questions about any issues like leaks, damp, roofing troubles, or building repairs on my property - I clearly said no, but he just wouldn’t stop. Total scammer trying to get info!
