I got a call from someone saying they were with BT. They insisted there was a problem with my internet connection. When I said I worked in IT, the caller actually asked me to explain what an IP address is. When I refused, they accused me of pretending to be in IT and then just hung up. Pretty clear it was a scam trying to either hack into my computer or steal my personal info, depending on how the chat went if I hadn’t thrown them off.
