9 monthsGot a call earlier from someone saying they were with some visa fraud team I'd never heard of. They asked about two bank transfers I supposedly made, one tiny and one huge. I didn’t say anything and just ended the call. Then I rang up my bank to check, and they told me no strange transactions showed up on my cards or accounts. Apparently it’s a common scam number, so I blocked it and reported it straight away.1 yearSounds like a total scam to me. This guy rang up pretending to be from Visa’s fraud team, saying there were a couple of dodgy charges on my card. When I said I’d just ring the bank myself to sort it, he started telling me not to bother because the bank would apparently freeze my account for 3 months and I wouldn’t be able to touch any of my money.
