I just got a call from this number. It was some sort of automated voicemail, sounded American, saying it was from HM Customs and Excise. They told me to press 1 or I’d face legal trouble! I hung up straight away. HMRC never phones, they always send letters. Don’t fall for this dodgy scam! If you’re worried, ring up HMRC directly to check.
