They said they were from HM Revenue and Customs, but I wasn’t convinced at all. Seemed like one of those dodgy calls trying to scam you. I just hung up straight away, wasn’t going to waste my time with that. Be careful, wouldn't trust any unexpected calls claiming to be from HMRC!
