Yesterday, I received a rather alarming call from individuals who purported to be high court enforcement officers. They insisted they would be arriving at my home within half an hour, accompanied by a locksmith. Given that I’m heavily pregnant, this threw me into quite a bit of distress. However, upon consulting with the Citizens Advice Bureau, I discovered that they have no right to gain access unless I had previously permitted entry, nor can they simply show up without providing at least seven days’ clear notice. Interestingly, they never actually appeared at all.

I’ve had a right fiasco with the TV Licence people lately! They’re hounding me for unpaid dues and had the audacity to suggest they’d send a locksmith round to break in if I didn’t cough up the full amount immediately. They outright refused to consider any sort of part payment. Absolutely outrageous behaviour!
