I got a text from this number after missing a call earlier. The message said it was from East Ayrshire Council asking if they could come round for around 4 hours to check insulation work at my place. The text was full of spelling errors and it was sent from a mobile number, which seemed a bit dodgy.

This number belongs to a small butcher business in Ireland, along with a nearby gift shop in the same district. It’s a well-known and trustworthy firm, but I reckon a scammer has used the director’s name, Cristian, to make it look legit. What felt strange was how they wouldn’t accept me saying I’d dialled the wrong number. The only way I could stop them was by ending the call and blocking as they kept on pressing me to share my name.
