Got a call claiming to be from the NHS about Covid-19 - sounded like a noisy call centre for sure. They already knew which borough I live in and kept insisting they were from the NHS when I asked. Asked if I'd tested positive for Covid and if my life insurance covered it. Also wanted to know my insurer and how much I pay for premiums. They didn’t like when I didn’t follow their script and just kept repeating themselves. Definitely BLOCKED!

Just like everyone else has said, they asked about my life insurance. Claimed they were from the NHS about covid vaccine stuff. When I asked why the NHS would want that info or how it linked to my life insurance, he couldn't give a proper answer. Asked for proof he was really with the NHS and he just said, "I'm calling from Richmond." If that's meant to be proof, it's not! Definitely not the NHS and clearly a scam.

My mate just got a call and the person on the phone already knew their name and old address. They said they were from NHS track and trace but called from a mobile number. Then they started asking about being over 65 and stuff about life insurance. When my mate tried to dodge the questions, the caller claimed they were ringing everyone in the UK. It was obviously a scam and the caller just hung up when pushed for more info. DO NOT GIVE ANY INFO!

It only buzzed my phone about 5 times before stopping. Usually, real calls go on for 7 rings or so. I tried 1471 to check the number but it was this one. Had a look through my contacts and didn’t know it so I ignored it. Bit of a relief to see it’s marked as Dangerous here. Vodafone oughta block this number and give the responsible person’s info to the cops.

Claimed to be from nhs T&T. Played along, told him I had 42 people living here. Asked if any were over 65, said about half. Then asked about under 16s, said other 21 fit that. Asked about any life or health insurance, I said none of us have that. When asked if we were interested, I joked we all might be but the phone’d probably run out of battery before he got to person number 42. He just hung up on me. Proper rude.

Just got a call from a really distorted line, sounded like an Asian bloke. Caller: “Hello.” Me: “Who’s this?” Caller: “Is this [my first name]?” Me: “Who are you then?” Caller: “It’s [name]. Got a call from a bloke claiming to be from Citizens Advice, said I owed some money or something. Then he wanted my life insurance info, which felt pretty dodgy. When I told him to take my number off his list, he just cut me off. Proper rude!
