Got an alert from HSBC sayin this D Thompson tried to add themselves as a payee on my account. The message didn’t have any reference number or even my name in it. Definitely a phishing scam, so I just deleted and blocked it straight away.

Got a text about a new payee being added to my bank account, but I don’t even have an HSBC account. Pretty obvious scam if you ask me.
