I got a call from a number starting with 078, but I've already blocked all calls from that prefix since I don't know anyone with those digits. Loads of dodgy calls pretending to be from HMRC, the DWP, banks, Visa, and Amazon tend to come from mobile numbers beginning with 078. Also, numbers with prefixes like 003, 004, 011, right through to 020, 028, and mobile starters like 074, 075, 077, 078, 079 appear to be mostly scams or unwanted calls. Just something to watch out for!
