I received a couple of calls from this number today, and on both occasions, I spoke to someone who had a noticeable Indian accent. They insisted they were reaching out regarding my security alarm system. However, when I mentioned that I didn’t own one, they promptly hung up. It only hit me after the second call that perhaps they might be fishing for details to target individuals who lack alarm systems for nefarious purposes. Quite unsettling, really!

Upon picking up the call, I was greeted by an Indian gentleman introducing himself as Leon. He requested to speak to me by my first name and claimed he was representing something called "the counselling bureau." Naturally, my curiosity was piqued, so I inquired about the nature of this organisation. Leon reiterated, "Hello, my name is Leon, I'm calling from the counselling bureau." At that point, I asked him to forgo the rehearsed lines and explain what the counselling bureau actually does. Suddenly, the line went dead and he terminated the call. I promptly blocked the number, and a quick online search yielded no results for any outfit by that name. Quite suspicious, wouldn't you say?
