I got a call from a recorded voice, sounded really American, claiming to be the Metropolitan Police. They said there was some problem they wanted to discuss with me and told me to hit 9 to talk to someone. I just ended the call right away.

Got a call from this number earlier and it was one of those recorded messages with an American voice claiming to be the Metropolitan Police. They said something about pressing ‘9’ to talk to an operator, but of course I didn’t do that! Just lately I had to ring 999 for an ambulance for my dad, and I can’t help thinking these dodgy people might have caught wind of it somehow. I’m already stressed out looking after my old dad, and these calls are just adding to the worry. Blocked the number straight away.
