Someone called my mum, pretending to be her daughter and said her phone was water damaged and asked if she could pay a bill for it. They were trying to con her out of £2000! Luckily, the bank caught it and blocked the payment just in time.

My son told me his phone went straight down the loo and all his photos got wiped. I didn’t reply to the message. Then I got a follow-up saying mum, there’s more troubles now too. Totally feels like a scam to me.

Got a call from a number I'd never seen before, and the person said they were my daughter. They said their phone got water damaged and asked me to send some cash. Seemed a bit fishy to me.
