They claimed to be from the NHS, stating that I had been in close proximity to someone diagnosed with COVID. They urged me to follow a link for testing.

I received a text claiming that I had been in touch with someone who tested positive for Covid and that I should fork out for a PCR test, despite already having lateral flow kits at home. They wanted me to pay 99p for postage and insisted on providing all my bank details. Immediately, I sensed something fishy about this request. Hence, I've gone ahead and blocked the number.

It certainly appears to be a dodgy NHS scam. I received a text with a link claiming I need to take a test as I've supposedly been in contact with someone who has COVID, but the thing is, I'm not even in the country right now!
