Just got a dodgy text from this number saying my PayPal account was restricted for "security reasons," and it had a link for billing support. I found it fishy straight away. First off, why on earth would PayPal use a phone number instead of sending an email? Then, when I tried pasting the link into my PC, it showed an unsecured site. Also logged into PayPal myself - nothing about any restrictions at all. Plus, I looked the number up and can’t find any trace of it linked to PayPal anywhere, which makes me think it’s a scam.

Just got a message claiming to be from PayPal. It was basically the same scam as described earlier. I've told PayPal about it and they're currently checking things out.
