Got a call from 07818107309 asking for someone called Mrs Taylor. When I told them they had the wrong person, they just wouldn't listen. I asked where they got my number but they couldn’t give me a straight answer. They kept pushing to set up an appointment to install some kind of alarm, claiming it was for a police scheme in an area I don't live in! I ended the call, but then she rang me back still trying to get me to book the £700 alarm for only £49. I hung up again and blocked the number. Watch out for this one!

Got a call from ADT about their alarm systems. Don’t really know how they got hold of my number, and it’s weird they were ringing me from a mobile.

Got a call from someone saying they were from ACT, offering free alarms because of a rise in local burglaries. I mean, who really just hands stuff out for free? Plus, why would they ring me from a mobile instead of a proper landline or a freephone number? I told her I’ve already got a monitored alarm system, just to be safe.

If this was actually ADT, why would they be ringing from a mobile? They normally use an 0800 number. Looks like scammers are even relying on mobiles nowadays - what's the world coming to?

Had a call from a really nice lady at ADT today, and I must say, I'm quite pleased with how they're handling things.

A woman rang saying she was from ADT and offering free security alarms because there were loads of break-ins around here. She asked if I already had an alarm system. I told her it wasn’t anything she needed to know, and then she just ended the call.
