Got a recorded message from a woman with a British accent, completely out of the blue. Another typical scam trying to say it’s from some ‘bank security team’ about two ‘dodgy transactions’ on my card today. The first one was supposedly £199 to ‘Amazon’ and the second £899 to ‘Xoom’, the same old story. They wanted me to press 1 if I confirmed the transactions or 2 to speak with ‘security’. Didn’t press a thing. There’s no dodgy payments at all. Classic scam with fake panic. Just hang up, don’t reply and block the number.
