Got a call from someone saying they were with Gladstone Brooks about an old PPI claim. I told them I don't remember dealing with Gladstone Brooks for PPI and then they just ended the call. Bit strange, really.

On 15/12/2017 at about 10.28am, I picked up the phone to a woman with an Indian accent saying she was ringing about my landline. When I asked which company I was with, she said BT, but mine is actually Virgin Media. She then asked if I’d been getting annoying calls, so I told her the only annoying call I’d had was from her lot, and she just hung up. She tried to say it was something to do with the TPS, but when I asked who she was actually working for earlier, she didn’t say. If it’s a pest call, no point in chatting, just hang up immediately.

I saw a missed call from this number, tried ringing it back, but all I got was a message saying the number is no longer in service. Bit odd really!

This dude rang me on 16 311666, saying there was something wrong with my computer. When I tried to find out who he was and where he was calling from, his reply was all muffled and just something about being tech support. I asked him to say it again, but then he just cut the call. Weird.

On the 14th of December ’17, I picked up since it was a mobile number. The caller said they were from Windows tech support - I couldn’t help but chuckle. They asked if I was experiencing any tech issues but I quickly said no. After that, they just ended the call. Could be risky for elderly folks or those who don’t know better.

i got a call from a bloke with an indian accent claiming he was with the “telephone preference service.” he started asking if i was bothered by annoying calls. the nerve of him! he’s the bloody nuisance calling me. this kind of scam these days is just mental. i told him straight up he was the pest, and then he just put the phone down on me!

I picked up and said “hello,” but it took the caller a good 20 seconds before they replied. Then a guy with an Indian accent said something about my Windows computer. I just said “okay?” to see if he was fishing for my info, but he just chuckled and ended the call.
