I received a call earlier today from a number claiming to represent Amazon. They stated that an item worth a whopping £1000 had been ordered in the US under my account. The caller urged me to get on my laptop so they could assist me in blocking the alleged unauthorised access. Something didn’t sit right with me, so I decided to end the conversation. After thoroughly checking my Amazon account, I found no unusual orders or any deductions from my bank. Quite the scam attempt, if you ask me!
