We had a caller who mentioned our name directly, which was rather peculiar. She repeated the name of her company a couple of times, but it was quite difficult to catch it clearly. When we asked her to spell it out for us, she abruptly hung up. Quite odd, really!

When I inquired further about what Select actually does, he revealed that they specialise in home improvements. I pressed him on why they abruptly hung up after confirming whether I was the homeowner, and he claimed it wasn’t his phone, so he couldn’t provide an answer, but he would investigate the matter. I expressed that this was rather poor public relations on their part and said that on that basis, we wouldn’t consider using their services at all!

When I enquired further about what Select actually does, he clarified that they specialise in home improvements. I pressed on about why they abruptly hung up after verifying if I was the homeowner, to which he explained that it wasn’t his personal phone, so he couldn’t comment, but he would investigate the matter. I told him their customer service was lacking, and because of that, there's no way I’d consider using their services!

I regret dialling this number, under the impression that it might be familiar. The call began with a rather cheery "Hello, are you the owner? How's your day going?" before abruptly disconnecting. One can only speculate that these individuals are perhaps on the lookout to ascertain when I’m home, potentially gearing up for some sort of dubious sales pitch!

Received a call from this number while we were busy celebrating our engagement and couldn't pick up. It rang repeatedly-nine times in total! When we finally answered, we could hear what sounded like an office in the background, but before we could say anything, the caller hung up. I have no intention of calling back.

How's your day going?" but then they abruptly hung up on us. I can only speculate that they're perhaps surveying the area to figure out when we might be home, possibly gearing up for some sort of sales con. Quite dodgy, if you ask me!

We followed up on this matter with BT. Although the representatives we spoke to can’t directly intervene, it turns out the number in question was registered with Orange. The charming lady at BT’s nuisance calls department mentioned she’d reach out to her counterpart at Orange to look into what's going on with this "Select" group. I highly encourage others in the same boat to do likewise - simply ring 100 and select the nuisance calls bureau (or something along those lines)!

We followed up on this issue with BT. Although the individuals we spoke to were unable to take any direct action, it turns out the mobile number in question was registered with Orange. The delightful lady on the other end of the line from BT's nuisance calls department assured us she would send an email to her contacts at Orange to look into this "Select" company further. I strongly encourage anyone else facing a similar predicament to do likewise - just call 100 and select the nuisance calls bureau!

I've received two calls from this number, and each time the only thing the caller asks is, "Is that the house owner?" The moment we answered his question and mentioned our name, he hung up on us. I tried calling back, but the line either cuts off or goes to voicemail right away. If these folks are representing a business, it's rather rude and unprofessional to just disconnect like that.
