Got a call saying my nat insurance number was gonna run out soon and gave me a premium rate number to ring. But NI numbers never expire whether you’re working or not! Seems like a dodgy scam just tryna scare folks into phoning some expensive line. Stay safe, don’t fall for it!

Just got a text about a payment being arranged on my HSBC account and a number to call if it wasn't me. Thing is, I've never even had an account with HSBC. Bit fishy if you ask me.

I picked up and heard someone speaking a language I couldn't understand. Then they suddenly switched to saying "hi, how are you?" When I asked who they were, they just ended the call.

I answered a call and an automated message claimed that my National Insurance number had been used in Wales. It told me to talk to an agent or else some serious legal stuff would happen. When I got through to the person, he asked me for my NI number, but as soon as I refused to give it, he just cut the call right away.

I reckon it was some kind of home management company that phoned me yesterday. The lady said she wouldn’t ring again, claimed she was phoning from home and even knew my details. I've blocked the number but they just keep calling me back - always the same person but from different numbers, and it happens like twice a week. Really annoying!
