I recently received a phone call from what claimed to be a 'government agency' saying they could help with debt relief. They asked for my personal details-name, address, and credit information-without even requesting any card numbers. While I was on hold, it struck me that my number is fairly new and honestly, I couldn’t even recall it properly myself! It dawned on me that BT must have passed my number to them. Quite bizarre, isn’t it? They mentioned that my number likely belonged to an Orange mobile account. Not your typical behaviour for a government organisation, if you ask me!

I recently received a call from what they claimed was a "government agency" that professed they could sort out my debts. They asked for my name, address, and various credit details. Oddly enough, they didn’t bother asking for my card numbers and then just plonked me into a queue. It only dawned on me, while stuck on hold, that my number is relatively new and I’m not even familiar with it myself. Makes you wonder if BT somehow handed over my information to these folks!
